What, me be grateful?

From TheFederalist.com: “Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) who is the first Somali-American, the first naturalized citizen from Africa, the first non-white woman elected from Minnesota, and one of the first two Muslim women (along with Rashida Tlaib of Michigan) to serve in Congress.

“What was most shocking to me is that only 30% of Somali children are in school and only 40% of those in school are girls, according to UNICEF, which explains the 37.8% literacy rate overall and only 25.8% for women. Also pretty interesting that Somalia’s GDP per capita last year was less than $500 last year (and less than US GDP per capita in the year 1800 of around $1,000) ranking it among the poorest countries in the world according to World Bank data (No. 178 out of 183 countries). Somalia’s entire annual GDP of $7.4 billion puts it on par with the metro GDP of US cities like Abeline, Texas ($7.3 billion) and Bowling Green Kentucky ($7.3 billion).”

Might one expect a bit of gratitude, even love for this country, from Omar, who came here as a child and who has personally realized a level of influence, lifestyle and prosperity which would be inconceivable where she came from? Oh yeah, she says she loves this country more than many native born. Talk is cheap. Does anyone believe her? Do her actions and virulent criticisms bespeak love? Have you read or heard ANY expressions of gratitude, acknowledging how thankful she is? I haven’t.

She’s the one who has said “white men” are the ones we should fear.” Hmm, how many white men practice clitoral circumcision? I would guess none. How many white men belong to Al-Shabbab, her birth country’s home grown terrorist group? Or the equally vicious Nigerian terror group, Boko Haran? I would guess none and none. How about ISIS? Well, apart from the really stupid white men who joined them from Britain and other European countries, most of whom, when they discovered the real ISIS, cried for their mommies? I would guess none, or one–Jihadi John–who is lionized by the group and ISIS fans everywhere.

Maybe she means President Trump. I hope she has reason to fear him.
