Steve Bogen claims to be a curmudgeon, but is mostly a bored old man who thinks he has something to say that others will want to read and comment on. After a lifetime of “self-employment”, meaning that instead of having one employer at a time he had many (they were called “clients”). Doing without the convenience of tax withholding, and having no employer who was willing to pay half his social security “contribution” (nudge nudge, wink wink), he bore the full revelation of the tax cost of productive citizenship and can’t wait to share such insights with his readers.
He is a veteran of the U.S. Army in Vietnam, a father of 3 young women and a repentant sinner who depends wholly upon the mercy of God the Father and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for his salvation.
In addition to this blog he persuades insurance companies to pay claims through his company, Care-Finders. http://www.care-finders.org.
